That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, [and] that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he [is] thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

But cleave unto the LORD your God, as ye have done unto this day.

Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited [me] in the night; thou hast tried me, [and] shalt find nothing; I am purposed [that] my mouth shall not transgress.

She also lieth in wait as [for] a prey, and increaseth the transgressors among men.

¶ Then said Jesus unto his disciples, ‹If any› [man] ‹will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.›

¶ Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, ‹If ye continue in my word,› [then] ‹are ye my disciples indeed;›

Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.

But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

¶ Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Which is come unto you, as [it is] in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as [it doth] also in you, since the day ye heard [of it], and knew the grace of God in truth:

And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:

¶ But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,

But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;

Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know [these things] before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
