And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.

And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man's house:

And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and [of] the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.

¶ Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; [namely], Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:

We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell [you] the same things by mouth.

And the [day] following Paul went in with us unto James; and all the elders were present.

¶ For though I be free from all [men], yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.

¶ I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.

¶ Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort [you] that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
