And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?
And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse [any] falsely; and be content with your wages.
‹And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:›
When they heard [that], they were cut [to the heart], and took counsel to slay them.
And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, ‹I am Jesus whom thou persecutest:› [it is] ‹hard for thee to kick against the pricks.›
And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said unto me, ‹Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do.›
For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
