¶ Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
But this [shall be] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
When Jesus heard [it], he marvelled, and said to them that followed, ‹Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.›
‹But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins,› (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) ‹Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.›
And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.
And he said unto her, ‹Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.›
‹Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven,› [the same] ‹loveth little.›
‹These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.›
Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid [them] on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.
The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
¶ Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
