One [thing] have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
¶ And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope [is] in thee.
¶ With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
¶ When a wicked man dieth, [his] expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust [men] perisheth.
¶ A man shall eat good by the fruit of [his] mouth: but the soul of the transgressors [shall eat] violence.
As for me, I have not hastened from [being] a pastor to follow thee: neither have I desired the woeful day; thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was [right] before thee.
But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
