TSK · 1 Chronicles 14:4

These are the names of children born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,

So David comforted his wife Bathsheba. He came to her and went to bed with her. Later she gave birth to a son, and David named him Solomon. Now the LORD loved the child

She replied to him,“My master, you swore an oath to your servant by the LORD your God,‘Solomon your son will be king after me and he will sit on my throne.’

Solomon demonstrated his loyalty to the LORD by following the practices of his father David, except that he offered sacrifices and burned incense on the high places.

These were the sons born to him in Jerusalem:Shimea, Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon– the mother of these four was Bathsheba the daughter of Ammiel.

From all the many sons the LORD has given me, he chose Solomon my son to rule on his behalf over Israel.
