TSK · 1 Peter 1:22

You are clean already because of the word that I have spoken to you.

Set them apart in the truth; your word is truth.

The word of God continued to spread, the number of disciples in Jerusalem increased greatly, and a large group of priests became obedient to the faith.

Through him we have received grace and our apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles on behalf of his name.

Do you not know that if you present yourselves as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or obedience resulting in righteousness?

Conduct in Love Love must be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil, cling to what is good.

Justification by Law or by Faith? You foolish Galatians! Who has cast a spell on you? Before your eyes Jesus Christ was vividly portrayed as crucified!

You were running well; who prevented you from obeying the truth?

And I pray this, that your love may abound even more and more in knowledge and every kind of insight

Consequently the one who rejects this is not rejecting human authority but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.

Call to Stand Firm But we ought to thank God always for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.

But the aim of our instruction is love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith.

older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters– with complete purity.

And by being perfected in this way, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him,

how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our consciences from dead works to worship the living God.

Final Exhortations Brotherly love must continue.

Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and make your hearts pure, you double-minded.

Wives and Husbands In the same way, wives, be subject to your own husbands. Then, even if some are disobedient to the word, they will be won over without a word by the way you live,

Above all keep your love for one another fervent, because love covers a multitude of sins.

to godliness, brotherly affection; to brotherly affection, unselfish love.

We know that we have crossed over from death to life because we love our fellow Christians. The one who does not love remains in death.

God is Love Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been fathered by God and knows God.

If anyone says“I love God” and yet hates his fellow Christian, he is a liar, because the one who does not love his fellow Christian whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.
