But Satan answered the LORD,“Skin for skin! Indeed, a man will give up all that he has to save his life!

Renewed Complaint“My days are swifter than a runner, they speed by without seeing happiness.

Where would I be if I did not believe I would experience the LORD’s favor in the land of the living?

But he will join his ancestors; they will never again see the light of day.

for they will provide a long and full life, and well-being for you.

for they are life to those who find them and healing to one’s entire body.

I thought deeply about the effects of indulging myself with wine(all the while my mind was guiding me with wisdom) and the effects of behaving foolishly, so that I might discover what is profitable for people to do on earth during the few days of their lives.

He said to him,“Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”

Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and exclaimed,“Look, a true Israelite in whom there is no deceit!”

If someone thinks he is religious yet does not bridle his tongue, and so deceives his heart, his religion is futile.

So get rid of all evil and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander.

and no lie was found on their lips; they are blameless.
