Hezekiah said to Isaiah,“The LORD’s message which you have announced is appropriate.” Then he added,“At least there will be peace and stability during my lifetime.”

But then Hezekiah and the residents of Jerusalem humbled themselves and abandoned their pride, and the LORD was not angry with them for the rest of Hezekiah’s reign.

Take note of the one who has integrity! Observe the upright! For the one who promotes peace has a future.

The godly perish, but no one cares. Honest people disappear, when no one minds that the godly disappear because of evil.

Even if these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they would save only their own lives by their righteousness, declares the Sovereign LORD.
