You should respond to my rebuke. Then I would pour out my thoughts to you; I would make my words known to you.

I will sprinkle you with pure water and you will be clean from all your impurities. I will purify you from all your idols.

On that day the mountains will drip with sweet wine, and the hills will flow with milk. All the dry stream beds of Judah will flow with water. A spring will flow out from the temple of the LORD, watering the Valley of Acacia Trees.

I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”

Then the women remembered his words,

And I did not recognize him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water said to me,‘The one on whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining– this is the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

But I have told you these things so that when their time comes, you will remember that I told you about them.“I did not tell you these things from the beginning because I was with you.

and said to them,“Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They replied,“No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body. Whether Jews or Greeks or slaves or free, we were all made to drink of the one Spirit.
