When King Herod heard this he was alarmed, and all Jerusalem with him.

They got up, forced him out of the town, and brought him to the brow of the hill on which their town was built, so that they could throw him down the cliff.

But when her owners saw their hope of profit was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace before the authorities.

For this reason the Jews, after they seized me while I was in the temple courts, were trying to kill me.
