The LORD’s angel called to Abraham a second time from heaven

Then he blessed Joseph and said,“May the God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked– the God who has been my shepherd all my life long to this day,

He added,“I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Then Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God.

Israel at Sinai In the third month after the Israelites went out from the land of Egypt, on the very day, they came to the desert of Sinai.

with the harvest of the earth and its fullness and the pleasure of him who resided in the burning bush. May blessing rest on Joseph’s head, and on the top of the head of the one set apart from his brothers.

You allowed men to ride over our heads; we passed through fire and water, but you brought us out into a wide open place.

Through all that they suffered, he suffered too. The messenger sent from his very presence delivered them. In his love and mercy he protected them; he lifted them up and carried them throughout ancient times.

Israel Must Return to the God of Jacob In the womb he attacked his brother; in his manly vigor he struggled with God.

Now as for the dead being raised, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the bush, how God said to him,‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?

“But as the time drew near for God to fulfill the promise he had declared to Abraham, the people increased greatly in number in Egypt,

This same Moses they had rejected, saying,‘Who made you a ruler and judge?’ God sent as both ruler and deliverer through the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush.
