TSK · Amos 3:8

For I am full of words, and the spirit within me constrains me.

O my downtrodden people, crushed like stalks on the threshing floor, what I have heard from the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, I have reported to you.

Then Jeremiah made his defense before all the officials and all the people.“The LORD sent me to prophesy everything you have heard me say against this temple and against this city.

“But you made the Nazirites drink wine; you commanded the prophets,‘Do not prophesy!’

Amaziah then said to Amos,“Leave, you visionary! Run away to the land of Judah! Earn your living and prophesy there!

Then the LORD took me from tending flocks and gave me this commission,‘Go! Prophesy to my people Israel!’

The People of Nineveh Respond to Jonah’s Warning The LORD’s message came to Jonah a second time,

“Go and stand in the temple courts and proclaim to the people all the words of this life.”

For if I preach the gospel, I have no reason for boasting, because I am compelled to do this. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!
