God spoke to Israel in a vision during the night and said,“Jacob, Jacob!” He replied,“Here I am!”

In the troubling thoughts of the dreams in the night when a deep sleep falls on men,

A Sign-Child is Born The LORD told me,“Take a large tablet and inscribe these words on it with an ordinary stylus:‘Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz.’

Let the prophet who has had a dream go ahead and tell his dream. Let the person who has received my message report that message faithfully. What is like straw cannot compare to what is like grain! I, the LORD, affirm it!

So Jeremiah summoned Baruch son of Neriah. Then, Baruch wrote down in a scroll all of the LORD’s words which he had told to Jeremiah as they came from his mouth.

Now as for these four young men, God endowed them with knowledge and skill in all sorts of literature and wisdom– and Daniel had insight into all kinds of visions and dreams.

However, there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and he has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in the times to come. The dream and the visions you had while lying on your bed are as follows.

Certainly the Sovereign LORD does nothing without first revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.

‘And in the last days it will be,’ God says,‘that I will pour out my Spirit on all people, and your sons and your daughters will prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.

Paul’s Thorn in the Flesh It is necessary to go on boasting. Though it is not profitable, I will go on to visions and revelations from the Lord.

When the seven thunders spoke, I was preparing to write, but just then I heard a voice from heaven say,“Seal up what the seven thunders spoke and do not write it down.”
