You must also do this for your oxen and for your sheep; seven days they may remain with their mothers, but give them to me on the eighth day.

“The first of the firstfruits of your soil you must bring to the house of the LORD your God.You must not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.”

Regulations for Eating Carcasses“‘Any person who eats an animal that has died of natural causes or an animal torn by beasts, whether a native citizen or a resident foreigner, must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening; then he becomes clean.

He must not eat an animal that has died of natural causes or an animal torn by beasts and thus become unclean by it. I am the LORD.

And I said,“Ah, Sovereign LORD, I have never been ceremonially defiled before. I have never eaten a carcass or an animal torn by wild beasts; from my youth up, unclean meat has never entered my mouth.”

Then I heard the man clothed in linen who was over the waters of the river as he raised both his right and left hands to the sky and made an oath by the one who lives forever:“It is for a time, times, and half a time. Then, when the power of the one who shatters the holy people has been exhausted, all these things will be finished.”

Do not be conformed to this present world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve what is the will of God– what is good and well-pleasing and perfect.
