The LORD said to Moses,“I am going to come to you in a dense cloud, so that the people may hear when I speak with you and so that they will always believe in you.” And Moses told the words of the people to the LORD.
When the sound of the horn grew louder and louder, Moses was speaking and God was answering him with a voice.
The Altar The LORD said to Moses:“Thus you will tell the Israelites:‘You yourselves have seen that I have spoken with you from heaven.
Then the LORD spoke to you from the middle of the fire; you heard speech but you could not see anything– only a voice was heard.
Have a people ever heard the voice of God speaking from the middle of fire, as you yourselves have, and lived to tell about it?
For you have not come to something that can be touched, to a burning fire and darkness and gloom and a whirlwind
