“Go and bring together the elders of Israel and tell them,‘The LORD, the God of your fathers, appeared to me– the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob– saying,“I have attended carefully to you and to what has been done to you in Egypt,

This is how you are to eat it– dressed to travel, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. You are to eat it in haste. It is the LORD’s Passover.

So Moses came and summoned the elders of Israel. He set before them all these words that the LORD had commanded him,

The Response of God The LORD said to Moses,“Gather to me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know are elders of the people and officials over them, and bring them to the tent of meeting; let them take their position there with you.

The king ordered all the people,“Observe the Passover of the LORD your God, as prescribed in this scroll of the covenant.”

Stand in the sanctuary and, together with the Levites, represent the family divisions of your countrymen.

The priests and the Levites had purified themselves, every last one, and they all were ceremonially pure. They sacrificed the Passover lamb for all the exiles, for their colleagues the priests, and for themselves.

The Passover Now on the first day of the feast of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover lamb is sacrificed, Jesus’ disciples said to him,“Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?”

and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they were all drinking from the spiritual rock that followed them, and the rock was Christ.
