So the Israelites went through the middle of the sea on dry ground, the water forming a wall for them on their right and on their left.

For the horses of Pharaoh came with his chariots and his footmen into the sea, and the LORD brought back the waters of the sea on them, but the Israelites walked on dry land in the middle of the sea.”

Elijah took his cloak, folded it up, and hit the water with it. The water divided, and the two of them crossed over on dry ground.

“Who shut up the sea with doors when it burst forth, coming out of the womb,

You walked through the sea; you passed through the surging waters, but left no footprints.

Yet he brought out his people like sheep; he led them through the wilderness like a flock.

to the one who divided the Red Sea in two, for his loyal love endures,

When you pass through the waters, I am with you; when you pass through the streams, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not harm you.

Why do you forget the LORD, who made you, who stretched out the sky and founded the earth? Why do you constantly tremble all day long at the anger of the oppressor, when he makes plans to destroy? Where is the anger of the oppressor?
