Three Special Visitors The LORD appeared to Abraham by the oaks of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent during the hottest time of the day.

The Sacrifice of Isaac Some time after these things God tested Abraham. He said to him,“Abraham!”“Here I am!” Abraham replied.

There he said to them,“I can tell that your father’s attitude toward me has changed, but the God of my father has been with me.

Then he blessed Joseph and said,“May the God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked– the God who has been my shepherd all my life long to this day,

The LORD called to Samuel, and he replied,“Here I am!”

Then the LORD called Samuel a third time. So he got up and went to Eli and said,“Here I am, for you called me!” Eli then realized that it was the LORD who was calling the boy.

Then you will call out, and the LORD will respond; you will cry out, and he will reply,‘Here I am.’ You must remove the burdensome yoke from among you and stop pointing fingers and speaking sinfully.
