Your dead will come back to life; your corpses will rise up. Wake up and shout joyfully, you who live in the ground! For you will grow like plants drenched with the morning dew, and the earth will bring forth its dead spirits.

Many of those who sleep in the dusty ground will awake– some to everlasting life, and others to shame and everlasting abhorrence.

Jesus answered,“You don’t know what you are asking! Are you able to drink the cup I am about to drink?” They said to him,“We are able.”

The Judgment“When the Son of Man comes in his glory and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.

And when they come from the marketplace, they do not eat unless they wash. They hold fast to many other traditions: the washing of cups, pots, kettles, and dining couches.)

The one who believes and is baptized will be saved, but the one who does not believe will be condemned.

The Pharisee was astonished when he saw that Jesus did not first wash his hands before the meal.

Then you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you, for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”

Now a dispute came about between some of John’s disciples and a certain Jew concerning ceremonial washing.

and will come out– the ones who have done what is good to the resurrection resulting in life, and the ones who have done what is evil to the resurrection resulting in condemnation.

Peter said to them,“Repent, and each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

angry because they were teaching the people and announcing in Jesus the resurrection of the dead.

But when they believed Philip as he was proclaiming the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they began to be baptized, both men and women.

“No one can withhold the water for these people to be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, can he?”

After she and her household were baptized, she urged us,“If you consider me to be a believer in the Lord, come and stay in my house.” And she persuaded us.

Also some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers were conversing with him, and some were asking,“What does this foolish babbler want to say?” Others said,“He seems to be a proclaimer of foreign gods.”(They said this because he was proclaiming the good news about Jesus and the resurrection.)

and said to them,“Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They replied,“No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

I have a hope in God(a hope that these men themselves accept too) that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

While Paul was discussing righteousness, self-control, and the coming judgment, Felix became frightened and said,“Go away for now, and when I have an opportunity, I will send for you.”

But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath for yourselves in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed!

Or do you not know that as many as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea,

But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised.

who will transform these humble bodies of ours into the likeness of his glorious body by means of that power by which he is able to subject all things to himself.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also we believe that God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep as Christians.

They served only for matters of food and drink and various ritual washings; they are external regulations imposed until the new order came.
