A horse disappoints those who trust in it for victory; despite its great strength, it cannot deliver.

So the Lord was not pleased with their young men, he took no pity on their orphans and widows; for the whole nation was godless and did wicked things, every mouth was speaking disgraceful words. Despite all this, his anger does not subside, and his hand is ready to strike again.

At that time those who live on this coast will say,‘Look what has happened to our source of hope to whom we fled for help, expecting to be rescued from the king of Assyria! How can we escape now?’”

Egypt is totally incapable of helping. For this reason I call her‘Proud one who is silenced.’”
