They read from the book of God’s law, explaining it and imparting insight. Thus the people gained understanding from what was read.

Those who stray morally will gain understanding; those who complain will acquire insight.

And Jesus answered him,“You are blessed, Simon son of Jonah, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but my Father in heaven!

All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit, and they began to speak in other languages as the Spirit enabled them.

The word of God continued to spread, the number of disciples in Jerusalem increased greatly, and a large group of priests became obedient to the faith.

They were only hearing,“The one who once persecuted us is now proclaiming the good news of the faith he once tried to destroy.”
