And if the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would be saved. But because of the elect, whom he chose, he has cut them short.

To them belong the patriarchs, and from them, by human descent, came the Christ, who is God over all, blessed forever! Amen.

If the first portion of the dough offered is holy, then the whole batch is holy, and if the root is holy, so too are the branches.
