He will call out to me,‘You are my father, my God, and the protector who delivers me.’

The tempter came and said to him,“If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become bread.”

They cried out,“Son of God, leave us alone! Have you come here to torment us before the time?”

Simon Peter answered,“You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

But Jesus was silent. The high priest said to him,“I charge you under oath by the living God, tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God.”

He trusts in God– let God, if he wants to, deliver him now because he said,‘I am God’s Son’!”

¶ The Ministry of John the Baptist The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

The angel replied,“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be holy; he will be called the Son of God.

No one has ever seen God. The only one, himself God, who is in closest fellowship with the Father, has made God known.

For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

so that all people will honor the Son just as they honor the Father. The one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

The Father and I are one.”

She replied,“Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God who comes into the world.”

Thomas replied to him,“My Lord and my God!”

who was appointed the Son-of-God-in-power according to the Holy Spirit by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord.

¶ Introduction: God Has Spoken Fully and Finally in His Son After God spoke long ago in various portions and in various ways to our ancestors through the prophets,

Without father, without mother, without genealogy, he has neither beginning of days nor end of life but is like the son of God, and he remains a priest for all time.

The one who practices sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was revealed: to destroy the works of the devil.

And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us insight to know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This one is the true God and eternal life.
