It is enough for the disciple to become like his teacher, and the slave like his master. If they have called the head of the house‘Beelzebul,’ how much worse will they call the members of his household!

But when the Pharisees heard this they said,“He does not cast out demons except by the power of Beelzebul, the ruler of demons!”

(because they said,“He has an unclean spirit”).

Then the Judeans responded,“Now we know you’re possessed by a demon! Both Abraham and the prophets died, and yet you say,‘If anyone obeys my teaching, he will never experience death.’

As Paul was saying these things in his defense, Festus exclaimed loudly,“You have lost your mind, Paul! Your great learning is driving you insane!”
