TSK · Lamentations 5:7

Their father Jacob said to them,“You are making me childless! Joseph is gone. Simeon is gone. And now you want to take Benjamin! Everything is against me.”

‘The LORD is slow to anger and abounding in loyal love, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children until the third and fourth generations.’

And why do you not pardon my transgression, and take away my iniquity? For now I will lie down in the dust, and you will seek me diligently, but I will be gone.”

Then tell them that the LORD says,‘It is because your ancestors rejected me and paid allegiance to other gods. They have served them and worshiped them. But they have rejected me and not obeyed my law.

The LORD says,“A sound is heard in Ramah, a sound of crying in bitter grief. It is the sound of Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because her children are gone.”

You must bear your punishment for your obscene conduct and your abominable practices, declares the LORD.

“As for your ancestors, where are they? And did the prophets live forever?
