TSK · Leviticus 21:11

You must not slash your body for a dead person or incise a tattoo on yourself. I am the LORD.

He must not defile himself even for his father or his mother or his brother or his sister if they die, because the separation for his God is on his head.

He said to his father and mother,“I have not seen him,” and he did not acknowledge his own brothers or know his own children, for they kept your word, and guarded your covenant.

Jesus’ True Family While Jesus was still speaking to the crowds, his mother and brothers came and stood outside, asking to speak to him.

“If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother, and wife and children, and brothers and sisters, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.
