Pilate asked them,“Why? What has he done wrong?” But they shouted more insistently,“Crucify him!”
A third time he said to them,“Why? What wrong has he done? I have found him guilty of no crime deserving death. I will therefore flog him and release him.”
Again Pilate went out and said to the Jewish leaders,“Look, I am bringing him out to you, so that you may know that I find no reason for an accusation against him.”
but by precious blood like that of an unblemished and spotless lamb, namely Christ.
Because Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, to bring you to God, by being put to death in the flesh but by being made alive in the spirit.
