The Absurdity of Idolatry This is what the LORD, Israel’s king, says, their protector, the LORD of Heaven’s Armies:“I am the first and I am the last, there is no God but me.

The robbers who were crucified with him also spoke abusively to him.
The inscription of the charge against him read,“The king of the Jews.”
Nathanael answered him,“Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel!”
From this point on, Pilate tried to release him. But the Jewish leaders shouted out,“If you release this man, you are no friend of Caesar! Everyone who claims to be a king opposes Caesar!”
What then? If some did not believe, does their unbelief nullify the faithfulness of God?
