The LORD is both kind and fair; that is why he teaches sinners the right way to live.

For the LORD has poured out on you a strong urge to sleep deeply. He has shut your eyes(the prophets), and covered your heads(the seers).

Jesus’ Invitation At that time Jesus said,“I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and have revealed them to little children.

He said to them,“Not everyone can accept this statement, except those to whom it has been given.

He said,“You have been given the opportunity to know the secrets of the kingdom of God, but for others they are in parables, so that although they see they may not see, and although they hear they may not understand.

So Jesus added,“Because of this I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has allowed him to come.”

A woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth from the city of Thyatira, a God-fearing woman, listened to us. The Lord opened her heart to respond to what Paul was saying.

Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that had been kept secret for long ages,

But just as it is written,“Things that no eye has seen, or ear heard, or mind imagined, are the things God has prepared for those who love him.”

The Apostles’ Ministry One should think about us this way– as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.

And if I have prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

He did this when he revealed to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure that he set forth in Christ,

that by revelation the mystery was made known to me, as I wrote before briefly.

Pray for me also, that I may be given the right words when I begin to speak– that I may confidently make known the mystery of the gospel,

My goal is that their hearts, having been knit together in love, may be encouraged, and that they may have all the riches that assurance brings in their understanding of the knowledge of the mystery of God, namely, Christ,

And we all agree, our religion contains amazing revelation: He was revealed in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among Gentiles, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

Do not be led astray, my dear brothers and sisters.

Now as for you, the anointing that you received from him resides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things, it is true and is not a lie. Just as it has taught you, you reside in him.
