one young bull, one ram, and one male lamb in its first year, for a burnt offering;

Certainly a man cannot rescue his brother; he cannot pay God an adequate ransom price

He was led away after an unjust trial– but who even cared? Indeed, he was cut off from the land of the living; because of the rebellion of his own people he was wounded.

“Seventy weeks have been determined concerning your people and your holy city to put an end to rebellion, to bring sin to completion, to atone for iniquity, to bring in perpetual righteousness, to seal up the prophetic vision, and to anoint a most holy place.

for this is my blood, the blood of the covenant, that is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

For who is greater, the one who is seated at the table, or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is seated at the table? But I am among you as one who serves.

You do not realize that it is more to your advantage to have one man die for the people than for the whole nation to perish.”

But they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

But the gracious gift is not like the transgression. For if the many died through the transgression of the one man, how much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one man Jesus Christ multiply to the many!

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us(because it is written,“Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”)

and live in love, just as Christ also loved us and gave himself for us, a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God.

who gave himself as a ransom for all, revealing God’s purpose at his appointed time.

For it was fitting for him, for whom and through whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

so also, after Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many, to those who eagerly await him he will appear a second time, not to bear sin but to bring salvation.

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we may cease from sinning and live for righteousness. By his wounds you were healed.

and he himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for our sins but also for the whole world.

and when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders threw themselves to the ground before the Lamb. Each of them had a harp and golden bowls full of incense(which are the prayers of the saints).
