Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.

Betrayal and Arrest While he was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, arrived. With him was a large crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent by the chief priests and elders of the people.

The Plan to Betray Jesus Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests to betray Jesus into their hands.

Jesus replied,“Didn’t I choose you, the twelve, and yet one of you is the devil?”

The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, that he should betray Jesus.

(Now Judas, the one who betrayed him, knew the place too, because Jesus had met there many times with his disciples.)
