Idolatry and False Prophets(13:1) You must be careful to do everything I am commanding you. Do not add to it or subtract from it!

Therefore the LORD, the God of Israel, says,‘I really did say that your house and your ancestor’s house would serve me forever.’ But now the LORD says,‘May it never be! For I will honor those who honor me, but those who despise me will be cursed!

For this reason I carefully follow all your precepts. I hate all deceitful actions.

You, however, have turned from the way. You have caused many to violate the law; you have corrupted the covenant with Levi,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.

He answered them,“And why do you disobey the commandment of God because of your tradition?

It must not be this way among you! Instead whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant,

teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Luke 9:48 TSK

and said to them,“Whoever welcomes this child in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me, for the one who is least among you all is the one who is great.”

A dispute also started among them over which of them was to be regarded as the greatest.

And why not say,“Let us do evil so that good may come of it”?– as some who slander us allege that we say.(Their condemnation is deserved!)

The Believer’s Enslavement to God’s Righteousness What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Absolutely not!

For all who rely on doing the works of the law are under a curse, because it is written,“Cursed is everyone who does not keep on doing everything written in the book of the law.”

Be imitators of me, brothers and sisters, and watch carefully those who are living this way, just as you have us as an example.

You are witnesses, and so is God, as to how holy and righteous and blameless our conduct was toward you who believe.

But you, as a person dedicated to God, keep away from all that. Instead pursue righteousness, godliness, faithfulness, love, endurance, and gentleness.

Titus 3:8 TSK

Summary of the Letter This saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on such truths, so that those who have placed their faith in God may be intent on engaging in good works. These things are good and beneficial for all people.

Then when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that never fades away.

But I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and by her teaching deceives my servants to commit sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols.
