For what hope does the godless have when he is cut off, when God takes away his life?

During the evening, morning, and noontime I will lament and moan, and he will hear me.

The LORD abhors every arrogant person; rest assured that they will not go unpunished.

Seek the LORD while he makes himself available; call to him while he is nearby!

When Daniel realized that a written decree had been issued, he entered his home, where the windows in his upper room opened toward Jerusalem. Three times daily he was kneeling and offering prayers and thanks to his God just as he had been accustomed to do previously.

Thus whenever you do charitable giving, do not blow a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in synagogues and on streets so that people will praise them. I tell you the truth, they have their reward!

Ask, Seek, Knock“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you.

And whatever you ask in prayer, if you believe, you will receive.”

“But woe to you, experts in the law and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You keep locking people out of the kingdom of heaven! For you neither enter nor permit those trying to enter to go in.

Warnings About Experts in the Law In his teaching Jesus also said,“Watch out for the experts in the law. They like walking around in long robes and elaborate greetings in the marketplaces,

He said also to the man who had invited him,“When you host a dinner or a banquet, don’t invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors so you can be invited by them in return and get repaid.

“Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.

They devour widows’ property, and as a show make long prayers. They will receive a more severe punishment.”

With every prayer and petition, pray at all times in the Spirit, and to this end be alert, with all perseverance and petitions for all the saints.

And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick and the Lord will raise him up– and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
