The Lord Returns to Jerusalem“Comfort, comfort my people,” says your God.
“But I will make a new covenant with the whole nation of Israel after I plant them back in the land,” says the LORD.“I will put my law within them and write it on their hearts and minds. I will be their God and they will be my people.
When Jesus heard this he was amazed and said to those who followed him,“I tell you the truth, I have not found such faith in anyone in Israel!
But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”– then he said to the paralytic–“Stand up, take your stretcher, and go home.”
When it was evening, after sunset, they brought to him all who were sick and demon-possessed.
He said to her,“Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”
Therefore I tell you, her sins, which were many, are forgiven, thus she loved much; but the one who is forgiven little loves little.”
I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble and suffering, but take courage– I have conquered the world.”
