Bathsheba bowed down to the king with her face to the floor and said,“May my master, King David, live forever!”

Ahaz passed away and was buried in the city of Jerusalem; they did not bring him to the tombs of the kings of Israel. His son Hezekiah replaced him as king.

They said to me,“The remnant that remains from the exile there in the province are experiencing considerable adversity and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem lies breached, and its gates have been burned down!”

For I am overcome with shame and my whole body is sick.

The nations will respect the reputation of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth will respect his splendor,

ט(Tet) Her city gates have fallen to the ground; he smashed to bits the bars that lock her gates. Her king and princes were taken into exile; there is no more guidance available. As for her prophets, they no longer receive a vision from the LORD.

They said to King Nebuchadnezzar,“O king, live forever!

So these supervisors and satraps came by collusion to the king and said to him,“O King Darius, live forever!
