TSK · Numbers 8:7

The LORD said to Moses,“Go to the people and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and make them wash their clothes

and sprinkle it seven times on the one being cleansed from the disease, pronounce him clean, and send the live bird away over the open countryside.

When the seventh day comes he must shave all his hair– his head, his beard, his eyebrows, all his hair– and he must wash his clothes, bathe his body in water, and so be clean.

Anyone who touches anything that was under him will be unclean until evening, and the one who carries those items must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening.

and the one who burns them must wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and afterward he may reenter the camp.

“‘Then a man who is ceremonially clean must gather up the ashes of the red heifer and put them in a ceremonially clean place outside the camp. They must be kept for the community of the Israelites for use in the water of purification– it is a purification for sin.

“‘For a ceremonially unclean person you must take some of the ashes of the heifer burnt for purification from sin and pour fresh running water over them in a vessel.

Wash away my wrongdoing! Cleanse me of my sin!

so now he will startle many nations. Kings will be shocked by his exaltation, for they will witness something unannounced to them, and they will understand something they had not heard about.

I will sprinkle you with pure water and you will be clean from all your impurities. I will purify you from all your idols.

They served only for matters of food and drink and various ritual washings; they are external regulations imposed until the new order came.

Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and make your hearts pure, you double-minded.

So I said to him,“My lord, you know the answer.” Then he said to me,“These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb!
