But those who are regarded as worthy to share in that age and in the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage.

Then when Paul noticed that part of them were Sadducees and the others Pharisees, he shouted out in the council,“Brothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees. I am on trial concerning the hope of the resurrection of the dead!”

Because the harbor was not suitable to spend the winter in, the majority decided to put out to sea from there. They hoped that somehow they could reach Phoenix, a harbor of Crete facing southwest and northwest, and spend the winter there.

But I am afraid that just as the serpent deceived Eve by his treachery, your minds may be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not arrive until the rebellion comes and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction.

(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were finished.) This is the first resurrection.
