From the brightness in front of him came hail and fiery coals.

Do not those who devise evil go astray? But those who plan good exhibit faithful covenant love.

For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Even the tax collectors do the same, don’t they?

Let no one say when he is tempted,“I am tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.

For by speaking high-sounding but empty words they are able to entice, with fleshly desires and with debauchery, people who have just escaped from those who reside in error.

So that huge dragon– the ancient serpent, the one called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world– was thrown down to the earth, and his angels along with him.
