then listen from your heavenly dwelling place, forgive their sin, and act favorably toward each one based on your evaluation of their motives.(Indeed you are the only one who can correctly evaluate the motives of all people.)

May the evil deeds of the wicked come to an end! But make the innocent secure, O righteous God, you who examine inner thoughts and motives!

If I were to ascend to heaven, you would be there. If I were to sprawl out in Sheol, there you would be.

I, the LORD, probe into people’s minds. I examine people’s hearts. I deal with each person according to how he has behaved. I give them what they deserve based on what they have done.
