The way of a fool is right in his own opinion, but the one who listens to advice is wise.

Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own opinion.

A rich person is wise in his own opinion, but a discerning poor person can evaluate him properly.

You have seen someone who is hasty in his words– there is more hope for a fool than for him.

Which of the two did his father’s will?” They said,“The first.” Jesus said to them,“I tell you the truth, tax collectors and prostitutes will go ahead of you into the kingdom of God!

The Pharisee stood and prayed about himself like this:‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people: extortionists, unrighteous people, adulterers– or even like this tax collector.

Guard against self-deception, each of you. If someone among you thinks he is wise in this age, let him become foolish so that he can become wise.

Because you say,“I am rich and have acquired great wealth, and need nothing,” but do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked,
