Then you must recall the LORD’s instructions and the prophetic testimony of what would happen. Certainly they say such things because their minds are spiritually darkened.
Have you not read this scripture:‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.
Is this blessedness then for the circumcision or also for the uncircumcision? For we say,“faith was credited to Abraham as righteousness.”
So indeed it was credited to Abraham as righteousness.
For the scripture says,“Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”
Just as Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,
Or do you think the scripture means nothing when it says,“The spirit that God caused to live within us has an envious yearning”?
