The LORD abhors the way of the wicked, but he will love those who pursue righteousness.

There is Hope for the Future“Listen to me, you who pursue godliness, who seek the LORD! Look at the rock from which you were chiseled, at the quarry from which you were dug!

For the righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel from faith to faith, just as it is written,“The righteous by faith will live.”

But now apart from the law the righteousness of God(although it is attested by the law and the prophets) has been disclosed–

And he received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised, so that he would become the father of all those who believe but have never been circumcised, that they too could have righteousness credited to them.

So indeed it was credited to Abraham as righteousness.

What shall we say then? Is there injustice with God? Absolutely not!

But the righteousness that is by faith says:“Do not say in your heart,‘Who will ascend into heaven?’”(that is, to bring Christ down)

And Isaiah is even bold enough to say,“I was found by those who did not seek me; I became well known to those who did not ask for me.”

yet we know that no one is justified by the works of the law but by the faithfulness of Jesus Christ. And we have come to believe in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by the faithfulness of Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.

Thus the law had become our guardian until Christ, so that we could be declared righteous by faith.

that you were at that time without the Messiah, alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

and be found in him, not because I have my own righteousness derived from the law, but because I have the righteousness that comes by way of Christ’s faithfulness– a righteousness from God that is in fact based on Christ’s faithfulness.

By faith Noah, when he was warned about things not yet seen, with reverent regard constructed an ark for the deliverance of his family. Through faith he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.
