Peter sate with out in the palice. And a damsell came to him sayinge: Thou also waste wt Iesus of Galilee:

I saye vnto you: Whosoever confesseth me before men eve him shall ye sonne of man confesse also before ye angels of God.

How be it no ma spake openly of him for feare of the Iewes

Suche wordes spake his father and mother because they feared the Iewes. For the Iewes had conspyred all redy that yf eny man dyd confesse that he was Christ he shuld be excommunicat out of the synagoge.

Then many of the Iewes which came to Mary and had sene the thinges which Iesus dyd beleved on him.

They shall excomunicat you: ye ye tyme shall come that whosoever killeth you will thinke that he doth God service.

And they departed from the counsell reioysynge yt they were counted worthy to soffre rebuke for his name.

Dearly beloved be not troubled in this heate which now is come amoge you to trye you as though some strauge thinge had happened vnto you:

Whosoever confesseth that Iesus is the sonne of god in him dwelleth god and he in god.
