Baramhat falls in the heart of the Great Lent, its weeks climbing with the Church toward Pascha. On its twenty-ninth day shines the feast of the Annunciation, when Gabriel greeted the Virgin and the Word took flesh — spring in the fields and in the economy of salvation alike.
