And Joshua^H3091 said^H559 unto all the people,^H5971 Thus saith^H559 Jehovah,^H3068 the God^H430 of Israel,^H3478 Your fathers^H1 dwelt^H3427 of old time^H5769 beyond^H5676 the River,^H5104 even Terah,^H8646 the father^H1 of Abraham,^H85 and the father^H1 of Nahor:^H5152 and they served^H5647 other^H312 gods.^H430

Thou art Jehovah^H3068 the God,^H430 who didst choose^H977 Abram,^H87 and broughtest him forth^H3318 out of Ur^H218 of the Chaldees,^H3778 and gavest^H7760 him the name^H8034 of Abraham,^H85

Let the redeemed^H1350 of Jehovah^H3068 say^H559 [so], Whom he hath redeemed^H1350 from the hand^H3027 of the adversary,^H6862

But thou, Israel,^H3478 my servant,^H5650 Jacob^H3290 whom I have chosen,^H977 the seed^H2233 of Abraham^H85 my friend,^H157

Thus saith^H559 Jehovah:^H3068 If my covenant^H1285 of day^H3119 and night^H3915 [stand] not, if I have not appointed^H7760 the ordinances^H2708 of heaven^H8064 and earth;^H776

I say^G3004 then,^G3361 Did^G683 God^G2316 cast off^G683 his^G846 people?^G3361 God forbid.^G1096 For^G1063 I^G1473 also^G2532 am^G1510 an Israelite,^G2475 of^G1537 the seed^G4690 of Abraham,^G11 of the tribe^G5443 of Benjamin.^G958

Hearken,^G191 my^G3450 beloved^G27 brethren;^G80 did^G1586 not^G3756 God^G2316 choose^G1586 them that are poor^G4434 as to the^G5127 world^G2889 [to be] rich^G4145 in^G1722 faith,^G4102 and^G2532 heirs^G2818 of the kingdom^G932 which^G3739 he promised^G1861 to them that^G3588 love^G25 him?^G846
