Thus saith^H559 Cyrus^H3566 king^H4428 of Persia,^H6539 All the kingdoms^H4467 of the earth^H776 hath Jehovah,^H3068 the God^H430 of heaven,^H8064 given^H5414 me; and he hath charged^H6485 me to build^H1129 him a house^H1004 in Jerusalem,^H3389 which is in Judah.^H3063

Surely the wrath^H2534 of man^H120 shall praise^H3034 thee: The residue^H7611 of wrath^H2534 shalt thou gird^H2296 upon thee.

Wherefore it shall come to pass, that, when the Lord^H136 hath performed^H1214 his whole work^H4639 upon mount^H2022 Zion^H6726 and on Jerusalem,^H3389 I will punish^H6485 the fruit^H6529 of the stout^H1433 heart^H3824 of the king^H4428 of Assyria,^H804 and the glory^H8597 of his high^H7312 looks.^H5869

Jehovah^H3068 of hosts^H6635 hath sworn,^H7650 saying,^H559 Surely, as I have thought,^H1819 so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed,^H3289 so shall it stand:^H6965

and when he seeth^H7200 a troop,^H7393 horsemen^H6571 in pairs,^H6776 a troop^H7393 of asses,^H2543 a troop^H7393 of camels,^H1581 he shall hearken^H7181 diligently^H7182 with much^H7227 heed.^H7182

What shall I say?^H1696 he hath both spoken^H559 unto me, and himself hath done^H6213 it: I shall go softly^H1718 all my years^H8141 because of the bitterness^H4751 of my soul.^H5315

I have raised up^H5782 one from the north,^H6828 and he is come;^H857 from the rising^H4217 of the sun^H8121 one that calleth^H7121 upon my name:^H8034 and he shall come^H935 upon rulers^H5461 as upon mortar,^H2563 and as the potter^H3335 treadeth^H7429 clay.^H2916

I have raised him up^H5782 in righteousness,^H6664 and I will make straight^H3474 all his ways:^H1870 he shall build^H1129 my city,^H5892 and he shall let my exiles^H1546 go^H7971 free, not for price^H4242 nor reward,^H7810 saith^H559 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts.^H6635

Call together^H8085 the archers^H7228 against Babylon,^H894 all them that bend^H1869 the bow;^H7198 encamp^H2583 against her round about;^H5439 let none thereof escape:^H6413 recompense^H7999 her according to her work;^H6467 according to all that she hath done,^H6213 do^H6213 unto her; for she hath been proud^H2102 against Jehovah,^H3068 against the Holy One^H6918 of Israel.^H3478

Therefore hear^H8085 ye the counsel^H6098 of Jehovah,^H3068 that he hath taken^H3289 against Babylon;^H894 and his purposes,^H4284 that he hath purposed^H2803 against the land^H776 of the Chaldeans:^H3778 Surely they shall drag them away,^H5498 [even] the little^H6810 ones of the flock;^H6629 surely he shall make their habitation^H5116 desolate^H8074 over them.

Thou shalt fall^H5307 upon the mountains^H2022 of Israel,^H3478 thou, and all thy hordes,^H102 and the peoples^H5971 that are with thee: I will give^H5414 thee unto the ravenous^H5861 birds^H6833 of every sort,^H3671 and to the beasts^H2416 of the field^H7704 to be devoured.^H402

but^G1161 if^G1487 it is^G2076 of^G1537 God,^G2316 ye will^G1410 not^G3756 be^G2076 able to overthrow^G2647 them;^G846 lest haply ye be found^G2147 even^G2532 to be fighting against God.^G2314
