Hearken^H8085 unto me, ye that know^H3045 righteousness,^H6664 the people^H5971 in whose heart^H3820 is my law;^H8451 fear^H3372 ye not the reproach^H2781 of men,^H582 neither be ye dismayed^H2865 at their revilings.^H1421

And when^G1161 they were come,^G2064 they say^G3004 unto him,^G846 Teacher,^G1320 we know^G1492 that^G3754 thou art^G1488 true,^G227 and^{G2532 G3756} carest^G3199 not^G4671 for^G4012 any one;^G3762 for^G1063 thou regardest^G991 not^{G3756 G1519} the person^G4383 of men,^G444 but^G235 of a^G1519 truth^G225 teachest^G1321 the way^G3598 of God:^G2316 Is it lawful^G1832 to give^G1325 tribute^G2778 unto Caesar,^G2541 or^G2228 not?^G3756

And^G2532 they came^G2064 unto^G4314 John,^G2491 and^G2532 said^G2036 to him,^G846 Rabbi,^G4461 he^G3739 that was^G2258 with^G3326 thee^G4675 beyond^G4008 the Jordan,^G2446 to whom^G3739 thou^G4771 hast borne witness,^G3140 behold,^G1492 the same^G3778 baptizeth,^G907 and^G2532 all^G3956 men come^G2064 to^G4314 him.^G846

But^G1161 of^G1537 the multitude^G3793 many^G4183 believed^G4100 on^G1519 him;^G846 and^G2532 they said,^G3754 When^G3752 the Christ^G5547 shall come,^G3385 will he do^G4160 more^G4119 signs^G4592 than those^G5130 which^G3739 this^G5130 man hath done?^G4160

Some^G5100 therefore^G3767 of^G1537 the Pharisees^G5330 said,^G3004 This^G3778 man^G444 is^G2076 not^G3756 from^G3844 God,^G2316 because^G3754 he keepeth^G5083 not^G3756 the sabbath.^G4521 But others^G243 said,^G3004 How^G4459 can^G1410 a man^G444 that is a sinner^G268 do^G4160 such^G5108 signs?^G4592 And^G2532 there was^G2258 a division^G4978 among^G1722 them.^G846

The chief priests^G749 therefore^G3767 and^G2532 the Pharisees^G5330 gathered^G4863 a council,^G4892 and^G2532 said,^G3004 What^G5101 do we?^G4160 for^G3754 this^G3778 man^G444 doeth^G4160 many^G4183 signs.^G4592

Nevertheless^G3676 even of^G1537 the rulers^{G758 G2532} many^G4183 believed^G4100 on^G1519 him;^G846 but^G235 because^G1223 of the Pharisees^G5330 they did^G3670 not^G3756 confess^G3670 [it], lest^G2443 they should be^G1096 put out of the synagogue:^G3361

And^G1161 after^G3326 these things^G5023 Joseph^G2501 of^G575 Arimathaea,^G707 being^G5607 a disciple^G3101 of Jesus,^G2424 but^G1161 secretly^G2928 for^G1223 fear^G5401 of the Jews,^G2453 asked^G2065 of Pilate^G4091 that^G2443 he might take away^G142 the body^G4983 of Jesus:^G2424 and^G2532 Pilate^G4091 gave^G2010 [him] leave.^G2010 He came^G2064 therefore,^G3767 and^G2532 took^G142 away his^G2424 body.^G4983

Ye men^G435 of Israel,^G2475 hear^G191 these^G5128 words:^G3056 Jesus^G2424 of^G575 Nazareth,^G3480 a man^G435 approved^G584 of^G575 God^G2316 unto you^G5209 by^G584 mighty works^G1411 and^G2532 wonders^G5059 and^G2532 signs^G1411 which^G3739 God^G2316 did^G4160 by^G1223 him^G846 in^G1722 the midst^G3319 of you,^G5216 even^G2532 as^G2531 ye yourselves^G846 know;^G1492

[ even] Jesus^G2424 of^G575 Nazareth,^G3478 how^G5613 God^G2316 anointed^G5548 him^G846 with the Holy^G40 Spirit^G4151 and^G2532 with power:^G1411 who^G3739 went about^G1330 doing good,^G2109 and^G2532 healing^G2390 all^G3956 that^G3588 were oppressed^G2616 of^G5259 the devil;^G1228 for^G3754 God^G2316 was^G2258 with^G3326 him.^G846
