And Abram^H87 passed through^H5674 the land^H776 unto the place^H4725 of Shechem,^H7927 unto the oak^H436 of Moreh.^H4176 And the Canaanite^H3669 was then^H227 in the land.^H776

And it shall come to pass, when Jehovah^H3068 thy God^H430 shall bring thee into^H935 the land^H776 whither thou goest^H935 to possess^H3423 it, that thou shalt set^H5414 the blessing^H1293 upon mount^H2022 Gerizim,^H1630 and the curse^H7045 upon mount^H2022 Ebal.^H5858

These shall stand^H5975 upon mount^H2022 Gerizim^H1630 to bless^H1288 the people,^H5971 when ye are passed over^H5674 the Jordan:^H3383 Simeon,^H8095 and Levi,^H3878 and Judah,^H3063 and Issachar,^H3485 and Joseph,^H3130 and Benjamin.^H1144

And all the men^H1167 of Shechem^H7927 assembled themselves together,^H622 and all the house^H1004 of Millo,^H4407 and went^H3212 and made^H4427 Abimelech^H40 king,^H4428 by the oak^H436 of the pillar^H5324 that was in Shechem.^H7927

Wherefore they spake^H559 to the king^H4428 of Assyria,^H804 saying,^H559 The nations^H1471 which thou hast carried^H1540 away, and placed^H3427 in the cities^H5892 of Samaria,^H8111 know^H3045 not the law^H4941 of the god^H430 of the land:^H776 therefore he hath sent^H7971 lions^H738 among them, and, behold, they slay^H4191 them, because they know^H3045 not the law^H4941 of the god^H430 of the land.^H776

Then David^H1732 said,^H559 This is the house^H1004 of Jehovah^H3068 God,^H430 and this is the altar^H4196 of burnt-offering^H5930 for Israel.^H3478

And Jehovah^H3068 appeared^H7200 to Solomon^H8010 by night,^H3915 and said^H559 unto him, I have heard^H8085 thy prayer,^H8605 and have chosen^H977 this place^H4725 to myself for a house^H1004 of sacrifice.^H2077

But chose^H977 the tribe^H7626 of Judah,^H3063 The mount^H2022 Zion^H6726 which he loved.^H157

For Jehovah^H3068 hath chosen^H977 Zion;^H6726 He hath desired^H183 it for his habitation.^H4186
