And there was a famine^H7458 in the days^H3117 of David^H1732 three^H7969 years,^H8141 year^H8141 after^H310 year;^H8141 and David^H1732 sought^H1245 the face of^H6440 Jehovah.^H3068 And Jehovah^H3068 said,^H559 It is for Saul,^H7586 and for his bloody^H1818 house,^H1004 because he put to death^H4191 the Gibeonites.^H1393

For affliction^H205 cometh not forth^H3318 from the dust,^H6083 Neither doth trouble^H5999 spring out^H6779 of the ground;^H127

I will say^H559 unto God,^H433 Do not condemn^H7561 me; Show^H3045 me wherefore thou contendest^H7378 with me.

Jehovah^H3068 hath made himself known,^H3045 he hath executed^H6213 judgment:^H4941 The wicked^H7563 is snared^H5367 in the work^H6467 of his own hands.^{H3709 H1902} Selah}^H5542

That they may know^H3045 that thou alone, whose name^H8034 is Jehovah,^H3068 Art the Most High^H5945 over all the earth.^H776

A prudent^H6175 man seeth^H7200 the evil,^H7451 and hideth^H5641 himself; But the simple^H6612 pass on,^H5674 and suffer^H6064 for it.

Ho Assyrian,^H804 the rod^H7626 of^H1945 mine anger,^H639 the staff^H4294 in whose hand^H3027 is mine indignation!^H2195

Jehovah,^H3068 thy hand^H3027 is lifted up,^H7311 yet they see^H2372 not: but they shall see^H2372 [thy] zeal^H7068 for the people,^H5971 and be put to shame;^H954 yea, fire^H784 shall devour^H398 thine adversaries.^H6862

Behold, the name^H8034 of Jehovah^H3068 cometh^H935 from far,^H4801 burning^H1197 with his anger,^H639 and in thick^H4858 rising smoke:^H3514 his lips^H8193 are full^H4390 of indignation,^H2195 and his tongue^H3956 is as a devouring^H398 fire;^H784

The voice^H6963 of one saying,^H559 Cry.^H7121 And one said,^H559 What shall I cry?^H7121 All flesh^H1320 is grass,^H2682 and all the goodliness^H2617 thereof is as the flower^H6731 of the field.^H7704

If I go forth^H3318 into the field,^H7704 then, behold, the slain^H2491 with the sword!^H2719 and if I enter^H935 into the city,^H5892 then, behold, they that are sick^H8463 with famine!^H7458 for both the prophet^H5030 and the priest^H3548 go about^H5503 in the land,^H776 and have no knowledge.^H3045

then will I make^H5414 this house^H1004 like Shiloh,^H7887 and will make^H5414 this city^H5892 a curse^H7045 to all the nations^H1471 of the earth.^H776

And the Chaldeans^H3778 shall come again,^H7725 and fight^H3898 against this city;^H5892 and they shall take^H3920 it, and burn^H8313 it with fire.^H784

And mine eye^H5869 shall not spare,^H2347 neither will I have pity:^H2550 I will bring^H5414 upon thee according to thy ways;^H1870 and thine abominations^H8441 shall be in the midst^H8432 of thee; and ye shall know^H3045 that I, Jehovah,^H3068 do smite.^H5221

Who is wise,^H2450 that he may understand^H995 these things? prudent,^H995 that he may know^H3045 them? for the ways^H1870 of Jehovah^H3068 are right,^H3477 and the just^H6662 shall walk^H3212 in them; but transgressors^H6586 shall fall^H3782 therein.

but I will send^H7971 a fire^H784 upon Judah,^H3063 and it shall devour^H398 the palaces^H759 of Jerusalem.^H3389

And I also have given^H5414 you cleanness^H5356 of teeth^H8127 in all your cities,^H5892 and want^H2640 of bread^H3899 in all your places;^H4725 yet have ye not returned^H7725 unto me, saith^H5002 Jehovah.^H3068

And Jonah^H3124 began^H2490 to enter^H935 into the city^H5892 a^H259 day's^H3117 journey,^H4109 and he cried,^H7121 and said,^H559 Yet forty^H705 days,^H3117 and Nineveh^H5210 shall be overthrown.^H2015

She obeyed^H8085 not the voice;^H6963 she received^H3947 not correction;^H4148 she trusted^H982 not in Jehovah;^H3068 she drew not near^H7126 to her God.^H430

As many as^G3745 I^G1473 love,^G5368 I^G1473 reprove^G1651 and^G2532 chasten:^G3811 be zealous^G2206 therefore,^G3767 and^G2532 repent.^G3340
